# Lens by ipverse

Aimed at network engineers, sysadmins, server administrators, security
researchers, and anyone
who wants to check detailed internet network information.

## What you can do

Analyze any IP address to find out who operates it, where it is located,
whether it belongs to a residential, hosting, education, government, or
business network, and if it has been flagged for malicious activity such
as botnet participation, open proxy abuse, or Tor exit relaying.
Investigate autonomous systems to assess their BGP connectivity, upstream
and downstream relationships, network reach and ranking, and overall
reputation. Use Lens to answer questions like: Who owns this IP? Is this
IP associated with threats? What network does this prefix belong to?
How is this AS connected to the rest of the Internet?

The website itself needs no signup. For programmatic access there is a
separate free gateway: a REST API and an MCP server, both authenticated with
an API key and limited to 1000 requests per month on the free plan. Sign in
with GitHub at https://console.ipverse.net to create a key.
